"Sundancer" is based on a polished slab of Mookaite Jasper from Western Australia. The natural rock patterns reminded me of ancient petroglyphs.
The brands of soft pastels I used were Henri Roche, Unison, Holbein, Schmincke, and Prismacolor Nupastels.
