"Enchanted" is based on a close-up of a Kentucky Agate in rough, natural form. Due to the Kentucky Agate's unusual and often brilliant designs, this type of rock has been coveted by collectors worldwide. I was inspired by the patterns in the rock formation, which looked to me like beautifully colored flowers.
The soft pastel brands I used for this piece include Henri Roche, Unison, Jack Richeson Handrolled, Mount Vision, Schmincke, Sennelier, Holbein, Prismacolor Nupastels and Faber-Castell Polychromos pastels.
