Inspiration for "Sealights" comes from the beautiful rocks and shells that line seacoasts, lakes and riverbeds. It was early morning when the sun came up over the horizon, illuminating the rocks and shells like a vision in a dream.
The soft pastel brands I used were Unison, Henri Roché, Terry Ludwig, Sennelier, Holbein, Earthberry, Faber-Castell Polychromos pastels and Prismacolor Nupastels.
Honorable Mention Award winner during the 2026 Connecticut Pastel Society's "ConneCTing with CPS" First Annual Online Show.
"Sealights" was selected as part of the FAV15% (jury's favorite 15% of the entries) in the July 2026 BoldBrush Painting Competition.
