For "The Meeting Place" I was inspired by the tide pools along Moonstone Beach in Cambria, California.
I used Prismacolor Nupastels and Faber-Castell Polychromos pastels. For the detail work, I used Stabilo CarbOthello pastel pencils.
Won the Platinum Award during the 2006 Pastel Society of New Mexico's 15th Annual National Pastel Painting Exhibition at the Hispanic Arts Center - Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Also shown at the Mistlin Gallery in Modesto, California during the 2007 Pastel Society of the West Coast's Membership Show.
